Enjoy lunch at a local seafood or Mediterranean-style restaurant.
Next, visit the impressive Qaitbay Citadel, built in the 15th century on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria—one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Stroll through the fort’s towers and enjoy sweeping sea views.

Enter a selection of royal tombs (including those of Ramses or Thutmose, depending on availability) to admire vibrant wall art and well-preserved inscriptions.

Learn about Egypt’s first female pharaoh and view reliefs of her expeditions and divine birth. Pause at the Colossi of Memnon, two giant statues that once guarded a vast temple complex.
After lunch, cross to the East Bank to explore Karnak Temple, a vast complex devoted to the god Amun. Walk through the monumental Hypostyle Hall, with its 134 towering columns carved with intricate hieroglyphs.
