Day-by-day itinerary
Upon arrival at Luxor International Airport, you’ll be greeted by our friendly representative who will assist with your transfer to the dock. During the drive, you'll catch glimpses of the lush Nile Valley. Once you reach the Dahabiya, you’ll be escorted to your luxurious cabin, where you can settle in and admire the stunning views of the Nile River, dotted with palm trees and ancient monuments.
The boat is a traditional wooden vessel, designed for comfort and elegance, providing a serene and intimate cruising experience. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner on board, with freshly prepared local delicacies, as the Dahabiya begins its journey along the Nile.

After a delightful breakfast on board, set out for an unforgettable exploration of Luxor's West Bank. Your first stop is the Valley of the Kings, where the tombs of Egypt’s most powerful pharaohs lie hidden in the cliffs. You'll visit the tomb of Tutankhamun, famous for its incredible treasures, and other royal tombs adorned with vivid hieroglyphics and murals.
Next, journey to the awe-inspiring Temple of Hatshepsut, the mortuary temple of Egypt’s only female pharaoh. This remarkable temple is carved into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari and is an architectural marvel. You’ll also pause at the Colossi of Memnon, two massive statues that once stood at the entrance of a temple built by Pharaoh Amenhotep III.
Return to the Dahabiya for lunch, followed by some downtime on deck to enjoy the peace and serenity of the Nile. The boat will sail to a tranquil location on the river where you can relax and enjoy the evening.

After breakfast, begin your journey to Edfu. Upon arrival, you’ll visit the Temple of Horus, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temples. This massive structure, dedicated to the falcon-headed god Horus, features towering pylons, well-preserved reliefs, and an immense hypostyle hall. The temple gives you a vivid sense of the power and majesty of ancient Egyptian religion.
From Edfu, continue south to Kom Ombo, where you’ll visit the unique dual-temple dedicated to Horus and Sobek, the crocodile god. The temple is split into two symmetrical halves, each one dedicated to a different deity, and is beautifully situated on a high dune overlooking the Nile. The site also features well-preserved reliefs depicting ancient Egyptian medicine and surgery.
Enjoy lunch on board and relax as you sail southward, passing through the tranquil landscapes of the Nile Valley.

Arrive in Aswan, a city renowned for its peaceful atmosphere and historical significance. After breakfast, you’ll visit Philae Temple, one of Egypt’s most picturesque temples, dedicated to the goddess Isis. The temple is located on Agilkia Island and is accessible by boat. Here, you’ll explore ancient Egyptian architecture and the beautiful island surroundings.
Next, visit the Aswan High Dam, an engineering marvel built in the 1960s to control the Nile’s annual flooding. The dam has transformed Egypt's agriculture and power generation, providing a modern contrast to the ancient sites you’ve explored.
Enjoy a leisurely lunch on board before relaxing for the rest of the day. As the sun sets, you can unwind on the deck, taking in the peaceful beauty of Aswan.

Today, you’ll immerse yourself in the Nubian culture by visiting a traditional Nubian Village. After a short boat ride, you’ll land on the shores of the Nile and be greeted by the warm hospitality of the Nubian people. The village is known for its brightly painted houses and friendly residents, offering you an authentic glimpse into the daily life of one of Egypt’s most ancient cultures. You’ll have time to explore the village and learn about Nubian traditions, including music, dance, and local crafts.
After your visit, enjoy a Felucca boat ride on the Nile, the traditional wooden sailboat that has been used for centuries. Relax as the boat drifts along the river, giving you a unique perspective of the Nile’s natural beauty.

After your visit, return to the Dahabiya for lunch and relaxation. You’ll have time to reflect on the highlights of the journey and enjoy your last evening on board before disembarking the following day.

Booking policy
At Daily Pyramids Tours, all prices are quoted in US Dollars (USD) unless otherwise specified. However, we gladly accept payments in other major currencies such as Euros (EUR), British Pounds (GBP), and more, based on the official daily exchange rate on the payment date.
Our prices reflect current market conditions, seasonal fluctuations, and service availability, so they may change without prior notice. Once a deposit or full payment is received, your booking price is locked in and guaranteed.

Holiday Supplement:
A 25% surcharge applies to all Nile Cruises and tour packages booked during Christmas, New Year, and Easter holidays due to peak demand.
To ensure a smooth booking process with Daily Pyramids Tours, our payment terms vary depending on the service type:
- Day Tours & Excursions: Full payment (100%) is required at booking to confirm your reservation.
- Multi-Day Tour Packages & Nile Cruises: A 25% deposit is required to secure your booking (50% for bookings including airfare). The deposit must be received within 7 days of booking, with the balance settled on arrival in Egypt.
- Christmas, New Year & Easter Bookings: Due to high seasonal demand, a 50% deposit is needed to confirm reservations during these periods.
After payment, you will receive written confirmation, a tailored itinerary, and travel documents via email. Receipts for all payments will be provided.
We understand plans can change. Cancellations must be sent to us in writing. Our cancellation terms are:
- 61 days or more before arrival: 15% cancellation fee
- 60 to 30 days before arrival: 25% cancellation fee
- 29 to 15 days before arrival: 50% cancellation fee
- 14 to 7 days before arrival: 75% cancellation fee
- 7 to 1 days before arrival, or no-show: 100% cancellation fee
Domestic flights carry separate cancellation fees set by the airline. Refunds, where due, are issued to your original payment method only.
At Daily Pyramids Tours, we welcome families and offer the following children’s pricing:
- Under 2 years: Free of charge
- Under 6 years: 25% of the tour cost
- Under 12 years: 50% of the tour cost
- 12 years and above: Full adult price
Discounts apply only when children share accommodation with two full-paying adults. Note that certain Nile Cruises and luxury hotels may have different policies or restrictions for young children, which will be detailed in your itinerary if relevant.
Some special experiences are optional and not included in standard packages. You may book these in advance or arrange on-site (subject to availability). Examples include:
- Entry inside the Great Pyramid of Khufu and other tombs
- Sound & Light Shows at Giza Pyramids, Karnak, or Philae Temples
- Hot air balloon rides over Luxor at sunrise
- Camel rides or horse-drawn carriage tours in historic districts
- Private photo sessions at iconic landmarks
Optional tours are payable in USD or local currency (EGP). We recommend booking in advance, especially during peak seasons.
While our packages are comprehensive, travelers should budget for:
- Personal purchases (souvenirs, snacks, etc.)
- Beverages during meals unless specified
- Hotel extras (minibar, room service, laundry, etc.)
- Egypt entry visa fees (usually payable on arrival)
- SIM cards or internet access unless provided
- Gratuities and optional experiences
We advise carrying small amounts of local currency (EGP) for convenience, especially for tipping and shopping at local markets.
Tipping (“baksheesh”) is a customary way to show appreciation for good service in Egypt. Though not mandatory, it is widely appreciated:
- Tour guide: $15–$20 per day per group
- Driver: $5–$10 per day per group
- Nile Cruise crew: $5–$10 per person per night (shared among staff)
- Hotel staff (porters, housekeeping): Small tips of $1–$2
Tipping is generally not included in your package price. We recommend carrying small USD or EGP bills for tipping convenience.
